About FreePDFSign
FreePDFSign is a free tool for signing PDFs: draw, type, or upload a signature, place it on your document, and download the result — no account and no watermark.
What we built
We wanted a way to sign a PDF that didn't require creating an account, paying for a subscription, or uploading a document to someone else's server just to add a signature. The signing tool runs entirely in your browser, using JavaScript libraries to render your PDF and embed your signature locally. You can read the specifics on our sign PDF without uploading page.
Where we are today
FreePDFSign is a new, independent project. We're a small effort focused on doing one thing — PDF signing — well, rather than a large company with a long history. We'd rather be upfront about that than invent a backstory.
What's next
We're planning to add more PDF tools over time — things like merging, splitting, and compressing PDFs are on our radar — built with the same privacy-first, browser-based approach. We don't have specific dates to share yet, but signing will stay free and the way we've built it won't change: your documents are processed on your device, not ours.
